DFI Warning Notice - Epsilon Commercial LTD, a division of UAB Medicinos Bank
It has come to the attention of the Department of Financial Institutions that a fax purportedly from Epsilon Commercial LTD, a division of UAB Medicinos Bank offering jumbo CDs at high rates of interest is in circulation. The fax has a 310 area code call back number, which suggests that the company is located in the West Los Angeles-Beverly Hills area.
Epsilon Commercial LTD, a division of UAB Medicinos Bank is not authorized to transact business in the way or manner of a commercial bank and is not authorized to transact business under a name which contains the word "bank." The Department of Financial Institutions advises the use of extreme caution when dealing with this entity. All persons who have communicated with Epsilon Commercial LTD, a division of UAB Medicinos Bank are asked to contact the Department of Financial Institutions, Strategic Support Manager, San Francisco, at (415) 263-8559.
