DFI requests notification of offices closed due to Southern California fires
The Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) is keeping a tally of branch offices closed due to the fires in Southern California. We request that you notify DFI as soon as possible if your financial institution needs to close one or more of its locations due to the fires. Provide as much information as you can regarding offices where cash transactions are made: name of the office, street address, city and approximate length of time the office will be closed (if known). Send the information by email to Patrick Carroll at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (415) 263-8559.
It is NOT necessary to report the closures of bank loan production offices or the agents or branches of agents of money transmitters.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
