It has come to the attention of the Department of Financial Institutions that a fax purportedly from Epsilon Commercial LTD, a division of UAB Medicinos Bank offering jumbo CDs at high rates of interest is in circulation. The fax has a 310 area code call back number, which suggests that the company is located in the West Los Angeles-Beverly Hills area.

Epsilon Commercial LTD, a division of UAB Medicinos Bank is not authorized to transact business in the way or manner of a commercial bank and is not authorized to transact business under a name which contains the word "bank." The Department of Financial Institutions advises the use of extreme caution when dealing with this entity.
